Rules That Cover Everything Else

  • Start light and step up. You can always add a squeeze. You cannot un-strip a finish.
  • Dwell time does the work, not scrubbing. Let it sit before you wipe.
  • Blot stains, never rub. Rubbing spreads the stain and frays the fiber.
  • Never dry a stained garment until the stain is gone. Heat sets it permanently.
  • Cold water for protein stains: blood, dairy, formula, vomit, egg.
  • Hot water for grease and oil stains.
  • Spray the cloth, not the device, on anything electronic.
  • Rinse any surface that touches food, skin, or pets.
  • Test a hidden spot first on anything porous, colored, natural, or expensive.
